What is your fav method of training?

If you can't laugh at yourself, there's no point. No point in what, you might ask? there's just no point.

Many people seem to take Karate to get a Black Belt, rather than getting a Black Belt to learn Karate.

There's no versus about it. One may use neither, one, or both. Personally I did do both but now I am dropping the weight training and replacing it with a load of pushups, pullups, and dips (see Navy SEALs thread). If one is on a "Bulking" period they may not do so much cardio, but when on a "cutting" period they may do more.

I personally enjoy reaping the benfits of both.

Actually I think a truly balanced training regimen includes both strength and aerobic conditioning.

And don't forget the flexibility work.

You can't compare the two, they're completely different.

If you asked running vs swimming or something, it'd make more sense..

It takes sacrifice to be the best.

There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it's easy.

My tendency is to focus too much on solitary training with emphasis on flexibility, technique, and form and not enough conditioning. Although repetition of techniques is a sure way to condition the body as a whole, I do not practice enough plyometrics or weightlifting, wind sprints, etc. in order to possibly speed up progress by isolating certain muscles or areas/aspects of fitness enhancement.

BOTH!!!

Preferably do a cardio workout after your weightlifting. Why?

Well, because any lactic acid formed during your weightlifting workout will be matabolized during the aerobic activity that your cardio workout provides! They complement one another very nicely and both are necessary and important factors to complete a total workout routine.
