Snow!

Another snow day!

This time we have ice, too. It's great because it means no work for me and no school for my kids. Unfortunately, it also means no Thai kickboxing class tonight for the second week in a row. We will have to do some serious review if we can finally have class next week. If that one gets canx'd, we might even just have to get our money refunded because the makeup classes will bleed over into those of the new quarter.

But I still love snow.

There has been heaps and heaps of snow in some parts of the uk, but none where i am My kids were upset when we saw on the news that we were getting 15cm of snow and we didnt get any. Just as well really, we live at the top of a really steep hill!

Our Midwest got slammed. Syracuse, NY got two feet last night, I believe.

YES!!!!! We finally got some snow in the Finger Lakes!!!! We are at about 2 feet at my house and it is still snowing....I just love it! Thursday and Friday I have a snowboarding clinic to go to...FRESH POWDER!!!!!!!!!! I just hope I can get to the ski area !

Our Midwest got slammed. Syracuse, NY got two feet last night, I believe.

I don't live too far from there. It keeps coming down at a steady (and pretty heavy) rate. A few hours ago I shoveled the walkway into my house and just looked at it and it looks like I didn't ever touch it.

We got about 4 inches the night before last, and it spat a little more snow today. It is kind of nice, but now it is bitter cold. We didn't get any sleds this year. I could have got some, but there was no snow on the ground at the time. It don't snow unitl February here, anymore.

Thunderstorms in my region can range from thunder and lightining with high winds, to even hail and tornado warnings included. They can be rough, or just a storm. You never know, here in Kansas!

A friend of mine in Louisiana told me it rained several inches throughout the course of the 13th.

Our schools are closed again tomorrow due to ice tonight. Everything we got last night will freeze tonight. The federal government is open, though, so I guess I'll be trundling in with my Starbucks to keep me warm.
