Well with all that I can't imagine how you can be a "big guy". Now is that big or BIG? :brow:

I mean are you overweight or just tall and broad?? Diet has to now come into consideration. Try cutting down on fats. Eat regularly. I do not believe in dieting but rather modifying the WAY that you eat. Eat a humongous EARLY breakfast AFTER you workout...light cardio/weights to speed up metabolism for morning. Eat lunch (light) something to tie yu over until dinner. Drink lots of water all day! At dinner eat early!!! (5:00) if you can or if later don't eat as much! And never eat anything heavy past 8:00! Watch what alcohol you consume...save it for the weekends!

i know this and have been in denial..thinking i could eat anything i want and then ill just work out extra hard....(im a cereal junkie..i can go through a whole box of captain crunch in one sitting)i did join a diets website last week ill see how it works out...or i could just go on the "bat" diet..you havent heard of this one ?well the concept is you have a friend tap you in the mouth with a baseball bat then they will have to wire your jaw shut for a couple of months..you cant eat so you drop the pounds!!!

Why not train your kicking ability as well as your endurance at the same time? Here is a Muay Thai regiment.

3 rounds Shadow Boxing

4 rounds Heavy Bag work

4 rounds Thai Pad work

3 rounds shadow boxing or light sparring

You can do 2 or 3 minute rounds depending on your level of conditioning. 30 seconds of rest between rounds. Also, you can work up to doing more rounds the more conditioned you get.

Also, try this for size. Doing only powerful kicks, start with 1 and work your way up to 10 or more kicks in a row. It's a pyramid you are building with kick numbers. at 1, you kick once.. 2 you kick twice in a row.. 3 is 3 kicks.. all the way to 10 and then count down to 1 again. Try to keep up the power level of your kick and don't rest more than 5 seconds between numbers. This will have you sucking wind very quick. When you get in better shape, go for another 10 count or more.

Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me

Yikes!!! Taezee

Don't try the BAT DIET ...you have such nice teeth!

...I think just by what you wrote you have to watch what ya eat. I do the exact same thing, (well used to ,,,not anymore!) Would get a 1 pounder bag of M&M's and make the excuse that I'm doing back to back classes that evening. Well, almost barf on the floor at end of class!

Now I eat all my meals (even m&m's on occassion) early in day! Have the whole rest of day to burn off as long as you exercise and keep the metab going!

hey man. i think we all feel ya on the food and problems like that. remember, there is one important aspect of EVERY diet. and that is for u to cheat. yes, cheat. take 1 day out of ur week..that day u go get ur pizza or burger. now dont sit on ur * all day and jus go thru bags of chips lol allow urself a meal of wat u really want. why? because no one can follow the strictest diets perfectly without becoming really pissed off! and pissed off dieters are no fun to be around. so take a day out, eat what ur craving, and keep working hard. also, make sure u distinguish between hunger and boredom. ur watching tv..but ur not rly that hungry. yet u end up with a turkey and cheese sandwhich grilled in the oven with olive oil and some chips (sounds good doesnt it? it was my lunch lol). make sure u are really hungry before you eat and not just bored. good luck man. and u seemed to have picked up an admirer in kickchick there lol

Actually, if you keep your current training regimen and just switch to 4 or more smaller meals that are nutritionally sound, you will drop weight. From just after Christmas last year to mid Feb this year, all I did was eat a decent breakfast and lunch, smaller dinner with some snacks couple times a day, and no food after 8 or 9pm. I dropped almost 20 pounds without increasing any of my workout regimen.

As far as cardio fitness goes, anything that raises your heart rate to 65% of max for more than 15-20 minutes increases your CV fitness. My personal favorites are bicycling, swimming and rollerblading. (I ran X-country for 8 years, I don't run much anymore :D)

Mix it up and vary it, and you'll be more apt to stick with it. If you want some more specific type setups/workouts, drop me a PM. Might as well use the kinesiology/coaching degree I have gathering dust on the wall. :D
