-Partnered Abs work and conditioning (20min).

-Supersetting: weighted crunches and pushups. 5sets both until exhaustion.

-Goblet squats, 50reps.

-Curls and hammer curls, 12/10/8/8/6.

-Hammer curls, 12/10/9/8/5.

90 - sit ups

100 - push ups

50 -Tricep

10 kyu kihon - in Go

(5x10x3 each technique - 5 arm + 2 leg)

45 mins - fighting combinations

5x3 mins stamina work.

Defensive Tactics: 1:45 - 3:00 pm. Worked on the system that they teach for self-defense, including a review from the previous week, along with a rear choke defense involving a cross-hand trap/reach over grab the ear, step around to secure arm to shoulder/arm lock; a hair grab defense into a standing arm bar (I had some trouble getting this one lined up right), and a headlock defense from the ground that was a lot like one we did at the GRACIE course.

9/11/2013

Taught TKD: 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Basics, forms, one-steps, and sparring. Had 3 new white belts in class, so I slowed a few things down to break things down for them here and there. Also got a good chunk of sparring in.

60 min of 5 min rounds free roll with strikes. Open mat and off of cage. Two rounds off.

Circuits for upper body (all to failure):

-Muscle up.

-Pullups.

-Pushups.

-Dips.

-Handstand.

-Pullups.

-Pushups.

-Plank

-Dips.

-Handstand.

-Pullups.

-Pushups.

-Reverse plank.

-Dips.

-Pullups.

-Pushups.

20min training for increasing muscleups, split into two sections:

-Leg and torso "lift" phase.

-"Up" phase (reverse dip).

20min kicking.

-active stretching.

-low/mid combos.

-low/high combos.

-high/high combos.

Drilled ankle sweeps from Monday. Moved into half guard sweeps.

40 min free roll.

-1hr kyokushin class (afternoon).

-Partnered leg conditioning, 5min.

-Partnered leg counter attacks, 5min.

-Thai pad combinations, 15min.

-Seinchin.

-2hr kyokushin class (evening).

19 Sept 2013.

-Volleyball game, 30min.

-Partnered kick shield circuits, 20min.
