45 min free roll.

Drilled taking back as primary focus and tried to get rolling calf slicer from last week quite a bit. Mixed results.

12 June 2013.

-SUPERSETS:

-Pullups;

-Windscreenwipers;

-Wide arm pushups on blocks (open the chest);

-Squats.

-Crossoversitups (GSP style), 2x sets to exhaustion.

14 June 2013.

-60min Kyokushin Class (afternoon).

-90min Kyokushin Class (evening).

16 June 2013.

-Knifework with multiple partners: 4hrs.

Day of climbing. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this and how much of a workout a day of it can be. Between humping all over the place with a pack and rigging and climbing it's a good workout as well as enjoyable.

A good day today...

AM Session

Elliptical: 30 minutes.

Rowing: 5 minutes.

TKD: Green belt review, Do San and Won Hyo hyungs, along with the one-steps. A bit rusty there, but got 'em. Also did 2nd dan material of Poe Eun and Gae Baek hyungs, and Do-Kang 2. Finished with Yoo Sin, and then stretching. Probably around 20 minutes of TKD work.

PM Session

GRACIE/DT work: 12:30 - 1:30. Warmed up with some bag work, then into the DT work. Showed the guys some of the stuff I learned at the GRACIE class, and they also showed me some variations on some stuff that I really liked. We did some of the standing headlock defenses, the umpa escape with some nice variations they showed me, as well as a fix for someone who is mounted well with good balance, and also the takedown from the rear clinch.

I am going to learn so much working with these guys.

19 June 2013.

-2min jog and active stretching to warm up.

-Circuit 1: Jump squats(10), Mountain climbers(20), Burpees(10), Spiderman pushups(10). I min rest, repeat for 3 circuits at 100% intensity.

-Intervals: 10x Sprints, run 30sec, rest 30sec etc.

-Circuit 2: Pull ups(10), Widearm pushups(10), Crossover situps GSP style(20), Plank(30sec), Crunches(20). Repeat 3 times.

-Active leg stretching, 2min.

-Kicking: Mae keage, Mae Geri and Jodan Mawashi Geri. 10min.

-Circuit 3: Standup drills from knees(1min), Sprawl and hip bridging(1min). Repeat 3 times, low intensity focus on technique..

-Shadow (kick)boxing, 2min round @ 70-80% intensity.

20 June 2013.

-3.2km cycle through the parklands, sprints at intervals. Finished with 300 metre hill sprint.

-Kata: Pinan Ichi/Ni/San/Yon/Go; Gekusai Dai/Sho; Tsuki No; Yantsu; Saiha; Seinchin.

-3.2km cycle return, finished with 200 metre hill sprint.
