Back from holidays and back into training! :)

25 Dec 2012.

-Christmas challenge. Did 147 pushups on knuckles in multiple sets.

26 Dec to 4 Jan.

-1-2kms jogging per day to burn off the excessive meals!!! :D

-Abs on 26th, 28th and 2nd.

6 Jan 2012.

-Hiking, covered 4kms in 26 minutes, blistering heat, dehydrated myself quickly.

-10 rounds on heavy bag, 1.5 min each with 30sec break in-between.

-Pushups to exhaustion.

7 Jan 2012.

-Swimming laps, various strokes. 800 metres.

-Pushups to exhaustion.

8 Jan 2013.

-First day back at Kyokushin for 2013. 1hr class afternoon, 2hr class evening. Pushed out more than 1000 kicks and 2000 punches. Im going to go and lie in an ice bath now....

Drilled escape from side mount. Recompose guard, then kumura sweep. Drilled each together then based on energy. Finished with armbar from either

40 min free roll.

Teaching night for me.

Pre-class workout

Bag work warmup and flying side kicks practice.

Chon Ji, Dan Gun, Bo Chung, Do San, Won Hyo

Taught Little Lions: 5:15 - 5:45. Worked on balance stripe. Did some punching techniques while standing on one foot, then the other; stood on one foot and hopped to other while doing front kicks; did some balance beam work, starting with walking, then adding a punch, then adding a punch/front kick combination. Had fun, and the kids did really good.

Taught TKD: 6:00 - 7:10. Got through basics quicker. Pushed everyone a bit more. Class was a good size, so there were quite a few forms to get through, then did one-steps a few minutes, and worked in sparring.

Taught Orientation: 7:10 - 7:30. One little guy who broke his leg a while back just out of his first orientation try. He was picking up real quick.

-Drilled double leg takedowns.

-Drilled Omoplata from guard.

-Drilled flower sweep (full mount) from bottom.

-Super sets: Pushups (and variations), coupled with abs exercises.
