Drilled arm triangle from mount. Followed by mounted triangle and arm bar variant.

40 min free roll. Hit some ankle locks and tried new material.

15 min free roll v. strikes.

Stretch. Breaking things up a bit allowed me some rest and recovery to hit some of the little things. I really slowed down and paced out Yoo Sin, and I felt good with that pacing. I may keep working at that for the testing.

-30min interval running on treadmill.

-30min weights training (light and heavy supersets for white and red muscle fibres), chest and shoulders focus.

-Ab ripper X.

12 Dec 2012 (12/12/12!!!)

-45min kihon (basics) training - blocks, punches, kicks.

-Kata: Gekisai Sho and Gekisai Dai.

-P90x Cardio.

-Interval hill sprints with situps at top, and pushups at bottom (20min).

-Situps to exhaustion.

-Various circuits, 45min: [Plank, Squat kicks, Uphill Jogs] [Reverse Plank, One leg raised squats, underarm pullups].

-150 kicks to finish.

Technical session today for Yoo Sin. I broke the form into segments and worked on pacing, timing, and breathing.

Segment 1 (moves 1-19) x5

Segment 2 (moves 20-40) x5

Segment 3 (moves 41-55) x5

Segment 4 (moves 56-73) x5

Yoo Sin x1. The floor space was needing to be used by the tumbling team, so I only got one run through. I did slow the form down and pace it out a bit, but I didn't sync my breathing up as well as I had during the segments, but that should come with time.

Stretch

Gen. Choi's Encyclopedia shows Yoo Sin having 68 moves. There are some subtle spots in the form that I counted as separate moves, mainly being the spots after the high X-blocks where the wrist grabs are, and then we have two additional low side kicks in the form, one before each of the U-shaped punches.

-120min kyokushin class, focus on self defence (takedowns and immobilisation).

-Drilled standing choke to takedown. Transition to arm bar, transition to reverse arm bar.
