I didn't do a lot on my left arm, and when I did, even a little bit of pressure caused it to pop. Need to heal up!Traditional Class: 6:00 - 7:00 Had a pretty good class tonight. However, in sparring, I got knocked down while I was kicking (my partner timed it just right). I HATE getting knocked down, too. So, my sparring demeanor changed, and I just got flustered. I made my partner hit the floor as well, but his was due to me blocking a high kick, and made him lose his balance, and not from an attack of my own. Overall, I was not pleased with my performance. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

bushido_man96 Posted September 21, 2007 Author Posted September 21, 2007 9-20-07Traditional Class: 6:00 - 7:00. Tonight, we had several newer students in the class, so the pace of the basics was a bit toned down so that they could follow along. However, I did manage to get some good work in, doing my techniques fast, and focusing on the footwork speed. The instructor spent a lot of time explaining things, so we spent a lot of time in stances while he was talking. Good for the legs. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Clash Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I've still been training but I haven't been keeping my log and I haven't done as much to much work the last week or so, had work tonight but last night i had a extra lesson in the kids class and went for a run did 2 miles, and on the second mile a friend timed it and i clocked in at about 7 mins on the second mile.
bushido_man96 Posted September 26, 2007 Author Posted September 26, 2007 Its great that you found time to run. bushido_man96 Posted September 28, 2007 Author Posted September 28, 2007 9-27-07From 6:00 - 7:30 tonight we had Testing at our school. We had demo before hand, and that was kind of fun, because our instructor had the local cable company come in to film a commercial that will run on TV here. It should be interesting to see how it turns out. So, I got a little bit of a workout in before the bulk of the testing got started. We had another relatively small testing, but we had one testing for 1st degree black, and he performed very well. He had been out for around a year with a knee injury, and has made a great comeback. His forms looked very sharp, and he sparred well and broke boards with no problems. He did well, and it was good to watch him succeed. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
bushido_man96 Posted October 1, 2007 Author Posted October 1, 2007 9-29-07I tested today, and it went from 10:30 to 1:30. Testing always wears me down, and this was no exception. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

We worked on some stuff that my partner will be teaching in a class for the PD down here. We worked on getting into a hammer lock from various starting positions, and then worked it to a takedown and control position. We then worked on gun defense from within 5 feet, and that was fun. We will also be going into rear takedowns.Traditional Class: 6:00 - 7:00. We worked a lot on new material today, and I got to start my next form, Yoo Sin. I like it so far. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
