bushido_man96 Posted August 25, 2007 Author Posted August 25, 2007 8-24-07I didn't work out hard today at all, but I did walk through Se-Jong hyung a few times, concentrating on foot placement while transitioning from move to move, stance to stance. I have some funny footwork in this form, but I really like it. I also practiced some kicks, without a warm-up, so I was careful not to be too speedy. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

I also had Traditional Class from 6:00 - 6:45 tonight; I had to leave early to go to Open House at the middle school with the family. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

bushido_man96 Posted August 30, 2007 Author Posted August 30, 2007 8-29-07I helped teach the last half of our Kids Class today from 4:30 - 5:00. From 5:15 - 5:45 I helped teach Orientation. Black Belt Class was from 6:00 - 7:00. This was a really great workout tonight. We went over some advanced basics sets, and did some kick sets and stretching in between each. Toward the end of the class, we did strike and counters, with 1, 2, and 3 strikes and counters, and strike-kick counters. Fun class, and I was tired. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

I did it easy at first, and the last few times put more power in it. I think it is coming along, finally. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

NightOwl Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 09=05=07Walked in crazy humid weather....does that count? Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.~Theodore Roosevelt
bushido_man96 Posted September 6, 2007 Author Posted September 6, 2007 (edited) 09=05=07Walked in crazy humid weather....does that count? Hey, works for me! 9-5-07Tonight I had Black Belt Class from 6:00 - 7:00. We worked on stuff for our next upcoming testing, and got a pretty good workout. My instructor wanted to look over our forms for testing. He had one of the students go before me, and gave some tips for him to break them down and tweak things a little. When I did mine, all he said was "You got it down," and he kind of smiled. No pointers or tips for me, though! Maybe that is a good thing? For the last 15 - 20 minutes of class, we worked on Hoo Sin Sul (self-defense). Me and a friend also had a grappling session prior to the class, and after the class, we had another session. I got my butt pretty much kicked, but it was a good time, and boy, did it make my arms tired! I would guess that we did around 15 total minutes of grappling. Clash Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Congrats on getting down you material for you test, also was it 15 straight minutes of grappling? If so I'm extremely impressed me and my friend mess around from time to time and grappling wears me out really fast.I'm about to start on my nightly work out in a few minutes I'll post a log if I get the chance.
