Generally, they are the squat-thrusts of yesteryear's PE class. The basic form is from standing to a crouch with your hands on the floor. Then you, thrust out the legs to come to a push up position. Then, reverse to standing.

There are variations that add a push up, ones that add a jump at the end and ones that do both. Probably about a million others as well. I'll let Ace speak to which he was specifically referring.

yesterday pm-

1.25 miles on the treadmill. Mainly to shed some water.

today-

3 mile run

Push-ups: 2x20

Morning

DT Training: 9:50 - 12:00. More groundwork, mostly from the bottom doing Kimuras, Americanas, and straight arm bars. I got some good reps in on the straight arm bars, and I feel like I am picking up more and more each time I go. I really like the training, and boy, I get good ab work and inner thigh work when I do it! One guy also put on the Red Man suit, and we got to do some fun stand-up work with that.

Evening

Some partial and full dips.

Martial Arts Workout

TKD class: 6:00 - 7:30. Mixed up basics and combinations today, and it was kind of fun. We did all of our upper body basics without breaking, so my legs were sore and aching by the time we were done with them. It made the kicking basics all the more enjoyable...

For sparring, we did station work, and on one of them, we were doing kicks to a shield holder, and the holder would cram us, and we would have to make space to kick. It really killed my legs, too. Good class.

Ok, it was the NAGA weekend so,

yesterday-

In the sauna on and off for about an hour to finish off my weight cut.

Weighed in and made weight. Promptly went out and had food.

Went to an hour long seminar prior to the tourney put on by one of Royce Gracie's bb's. Pretty good stuff. Mainly technical work, a bit of free roll at the end.

Ate again, turn in.

today-

Matches at tourney. Two, one won by submission, one lost on points. Good enough to take home second.

I'm off for a week now for sure for a little break and recovery. And food
