Drilled taking mount from side with step over mechanics. Variations on the arm bar from modified mount.

No free roll tonight. Trying to get my wrist to heal up after getting it rolled on wrong on Monday.

PTK:

Footwork heavy night to give the wrist a break. Broken footwork, triangle and diamond footwork. Striking mechanics. Fluid 5 form.

-Pre class warm up.

-60 min Kyokushin fight training class. Comprised of lots and lots of heavy bagwork at high intensity and bare knuckle, strong focus on roundhouse kicks for technique and power simultaneously. Distancing and combinations.

-Drilled uchi mata and sweep takedowns from clinch with partner, 10min.

-Pushups to exhaustion, 3min rest, pushups to exhaustion.

1.5 mile run. Some interval training in there as well as a harder first half mile.

Drilled Triangle from Mount in a couple of variations and arm bar back ups. 60 min free roll.

20 April 2015.

-5min warm up.

-10min woodchopping (actual woodchopping, its cold and I needed to light the fire...)

-15min HIIT bodyweight and cardio circuit.

-15min Wrestling conditioning circuit: Sprawls; Divebomber pushups; Bridges; Aligator pushups; get ups; sit outs.

-15min kicking training with ankle and wrist weights from Moro-Ashi-Dachi.

-3x 1min shadowboxing rounds with ankle and wrist weights.

-5min warm down.

21 April 2015.

-Warmup, 10min.

-24 min circuit (30sec on, 30sec off. Cycle through to finish): Sprints; Starjumps; Skipping; Burpees (with pushup and jump); Punching for speed drills; Shuffle shuttle runs; Switch knees.

-Abs, 15min: Bicycle crunches; Reverse plank; crunches; bridge; legups.

-Kicking drills, focus on front kicks and knees, 10min.

-Warm down, 10min.

Late evening, nunchaku and arnis double stick drills, 20min.

Back from almost a week away due to training at work! Luckily, just because I didn't get a chance to pop in very often, I did get to train on my normal routine despite the hectic conference schedule:

Guard attacks, cross collar and arm bar

Guard attack via triangle

40 min free roll

.5 mile for time, straight up. Body weight

4/24

High guard sequencing.

Seminar with my PTK coach on mechanics and knife transition. Flow on ground with knife while postulating solutions to various worse case situations.

Weekly review.

40 min free roll.
