Body burn!

'diamond' jumps.

(Like a star jump, but you clap your hands and feet together at the top of the jump) - 1 min.

Immediately followed by:

Squats, touching left foot with right hand and visa verse - 1 min

Immediately followed by:

Crab Squats, step left, squat, step right squat (keeping a Kiba dachi stance) - 1 min

Immediately followed by:

Combination pushups. Press up position, drop to floor 'prostrate position' push back up, lift one arm off the floor twist your body 90 degrees.

Drop to floor repeat, press up lift other arm up etc etc. - 1 min

Immediately followed by:

Squat thrusts - 1 min

Rest 1 min

Repeat the above sequence 3 times.

Core (sit ups) 90. (3 x30)

Conditioning

Body - 1hr, combination of legs, arms, core (ribs).

knockdown fighting combinations - 1 hr

MMA night. Drilled open floor dirty boxing. Maintaining control in clinch against the cage to takedown. Escaping from bottom with strikes.

Weight lifting: 87,5kg squat 5x5; 42,5kg Overhead Press 5x5; 100 kg Deadlift 1x5

Stretching and 3 sets of 10 clap push ups; 3 sets prone bridge till failure

Karate class: Kihon followed by Geri Waza focus on Yoko geri kekomi and Mawashi Geri, Kata Jitte and application.

My kicking techniques are getting much stronger by the Weight lifting, but the deep shotokan stances after weight lifting are killing my legs !! Today is resting day.

-2hr kyokushin class (evening).

24 August 2013.

-1hr high intensity trampolining, worked on getting backflips and variations back as well as 540's.

Drilled maintaining mount via moving to modified mount then rear mount from a roll to face down position. Ended with arm bar from modified mount. Used in live drill.

30 min free roll.

-Active and static stretching, 10min.

-400+ kicks focus on cardio, speed and technique: kin geri (30), chudan mae geri (30), jodan mae geri (30), mae keage (20), uchi mawashi (30), soto mawashi (30), hiza ganmen geri (30), kansetsu geri (30), chudan yoko geri (30), jodan yoko geri (30), ushiro geri (30), gedan mawashi geri (30), chudan mawashi geri (30), jodan mawashi geri (30).

-Kickin katas: Sokugi Ich/Ni/Sam, and Yon (made up but it works. Chudan Yoko Geri, Jodan Mawashi on the sides, Jodan Ushiro Kakato Mawashi Geri down the centre).

-Bo work, traditional Hokama kata, and non traditional.

-100cm box jumps.

-Pushups on knuckles to exhaustion.

-Shadow boxing, 5min.
