Circuit as follows

10 burpies

10 dumbell swings each arm

30 mountain climbers

10 close grip pushups on pushup handles

Scuttleing plank 10 metres left, 10 metres right (i get into a plank and shuffle from one side of my workout area to the other, its very functional and blast the abs and lower back)

rest for a minutes

did 4 rounds

Went through my katas slowly twice each then quickly twice each

Prep for fishing trip w/ family. My next couple of days of work outs should included what minimal hiking I can be talked into between the baiting of hooks and the mandatory 16 oz. curls that go with it.

7/11 several rounds of MMA sparring- drawing styles from a hat

Then a few rounds of Nerdy Kombat ( defined here, https://www.karateforums.com/nerdy-kombat-vt40780.html )

Nerdy combat was very interesting, very good for the inexperienced guys to learn how to get hit.

As far as drawing styles, that was a great activity to break up the occasional boredom that comes with training.

Tallgeese, enjoy the fishing trip, sounds like a blast.

Back from the trip. Jumped back in tonight.

20 min work on pummeling.

Drilled guard to high guard. Sweep to arm bar.

7/11/2011 evening

TKD class: Basics, stretch, form, one-steps, sparring. The form came together a bit better this night, and I didn't lose my balance too much. The instructor told me I tend to "hang" after rechambering a kick, not getting the leg back to the ground very quickly. Will have to work on that. Sparring went ok, and I did kick a guy around 6' tall in the head three times. :D

I've also worked with my 5 year old intermittenly on some TKD stuff, but not so much on things like stances, forms, and techniques, but more along the lines of getting off-line from an attack, working an angle to get to the back, attacking, and then moving away. When his attention span permits...

Power clean: 115x5

Since I have stalled 3 times on the squat weight, its time to deload 10%, and then work my way back up from there. I felt stronger with the squats today, but the spotter I had seemed to be assisting just a bit, so I'm going with the deload.
