No, not at all. At the last grappling session I went to, the instructor was showing some ways to clear away to draw the gun while on our back. Handy information, for sure.

5-6-10

Qualifaction at the range today. Shot well; can't complain. I haven't been to the range since qual at the academy, so I felt pretty good.

Ok, after a short time away, I've made it back:

Thurs-

BJJ nite:

Drilled sweeps from guard and a secondary movement to kimura.

45 min free roll.

Fri-

Off.

Sat-

3 hours of training time at my home school. Everythig from free sparring rounds to clinch training. Went into grappling and then into weapons defenses and awareness drills. Nice day.

today-

we'll see :)

5-9-10

Spent some time doing basic movements on my own, and some push-ups. Did some slow front kicks without setting the leg down, and that really felt good.

yesterday-

full day of CT teaching followed by the team doing force on force up and down stairs.

today-

3, 2 min rounds of the mits of:

jab, cross, knee to the quad

add elbow to end of combo

add coverage from hoots at front and double leg takedown at end, drill pass at end of takedown.

Ladder work on the bag with the knee strike from above.

Drilled over arm triangles from mount to side and then from guard.

45 min free roll.
