Ace2021
This problem has occurred twice for me, it's when I really start training. I don't think I overdo it, aside from my Karate and Jujitsu training, at home I work out for 45 minutes a day, with at least 4 2 minute breaks in between. I usually do strength training 30 minutes and cardio 15.Is there something wrong with my training, because subsequently every time I get back into my best training routine, I get sick. This has happened twice and I don't know why, it could be a coincidence, but it happens. A fever, coldsweating. I usually recover in 3-4 days, but it is quite annoying.I'll probably ask a physician in the morning, just wondering if you guys had any insights. Should increase my Vitamin C intake or something? Is my immune system on edge? Really at a loss.. A New Age Dawns
patusai
Ask a professinal (doctor or even possibly a trainer). What I have to say is about vitamin C. Too much can bring on kidney stones. I have had them and they are not a good time. bushido_man96
Let us know what the doc tells you. I can't imagine trying to do something healthy would make you sick, though. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Fish
Funnily enough, I had the same problem a few years ago. I was running regularly, trying to train for a marathon. Every time I ran, I would get a really bad cough afterwards, which would last for 10 days. So I couldn't run. When I got better, I would go out running again, and the same thing would happen. This might seem strange, but what solved the problem for me was closing my window at night time. For my whole life I had slept with the window open as a result of going to boarding school. When I started sleeping with it shut, I stopped getting the coughs and colds! patusai
That whole thing is pretty scary. I too can't imagine what could be going on. I hear the window being open at night and getting sick should not cause problems but then it depends on what kind of air is coming in. This is my second bout of stuff in a month. I even missed a belt test.
Fish
It's not pollution, its the cold, damp air here in England.I changed my habits after I read an article that said when you sleep, your body temperature already drops, and if you have the window open, you are breathing in all that cold damp air, so giving you a bad chest. It made sense, so I stopped, and it worked for me. "They can because they think they can." - School Motto.(Shodan 11th Oct 08)
SaiFightsMS
Another thought is that your body needs recovery time between workouts at times. You may be overtraining.
Ace2021
Thanks for all the replies, they all helped.I didn't think I was over training. However, after getting back from the Docs a while ago, it seems that he thinks it's because a number of factors.Sleeping with my window open, as mentioned above by Fish, and the fact that my hair is short, not bald but nearly. He said it was a combination of the cold night air, and the top of my head being exposed and me losing body heat. I was a bit skeptical, but then I looked it up and he's most likely right. He said if that doesn't work come back. Only time will tell.Once again, thanks for all the replies. A New Age Dawns
