bushido_man96
Does anyone here have Ho Sin Sul requirements that they must meet for each of their testings, or is just something that you work on in class?I think that Ho Sin Sul training is a very important aspect of TKD, and I was wondering what all everyone did for it.We do some during our classes, and there is talk about Ho Sin Sul requirements being made for our testings, to go along side the one-steps that we do. I hope that we do get to that point. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
karatekid1975
Yes, we have required Ho sin Sul from the org. But my instructor puts a slight twist on it. It makes it more realistic, I think. Laurie F

Chuilli, Kyo Sah Nim
yes we have ho sin sul requirements for black belts, we teach the basics but they are not required. but as far as black belts go, first is hand to hand, second is knife, and third is sword and lastly fourth is seated. we might be adding gun too as the times change.in tang soo,k.chuilli K.Chuilli2nd Dan, InstructorKyo Sah NimMoo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do

DWx
All grades from yellow belt upwards are required to do some form of Ho Sin Sul. At first its just simple grabs that the instructor has taught releases from, then about blue/red level anything goes, including multiple attackers. Chuilli, Kyo Sah Nim
No, we do not have required Ho Sin Sul for any gup ranks, but we do practice with them often. as the instructors we have been doing ho sin sul for years so sometimes to break away from the norm of forms and one steps needed to qualify for the next rank, we'll break the monotany with some ho sin sul.in tang soo,k.chuilli K.Chuilli2nd Dan, InstructorKyo Sah NimMoo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do
JWLuiza
We concurrently test for ranks in jujitsu (japanese) but I'm 100% sure it'll look like much of your ho sin sul. However, students are encouraged to link moves and create their own (with input from instructors obviously).

Since we don't do much Ho Sin Sul in class, I supplement it with my Combat Hapkido training, which works out very well. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Hwa Rang Warrior
We have required Ho Sin Sul. five for each belt rank 10th gup - cho dan bo. 30 in total. Of coarse while teaching them we try to teach it with as many different senarios as possible to make them more realistic , as well as supplementing to answer "what if" questions. Tang Soo!
