There could be any mariad of colors in between depending on where you train. In the orginization I studied it was as follows:White, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Green, Purple, Brown, BlackOf course the degrees of black come after this, but there is no appreciable difference in the belt. It just looks older due to wear and tear. Some systems use stripes on the belt to differentiate between the dan levels. "It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenius."
