Well, the last two and a half weeks I've been out of the dojo because of the holidays. The dojo's been closed most of last week and this week anyway, but I didn't do nearly as much training as I should have done. I finally got to go back to class today. Of course, today was all about burning those holiday calories off and reworking those weakening muscles back into shape. Sprints, held stances, continuous sparring, bag work, grappling... I don't think I'll be able to walk straight for a week(ok, ok... a couple of days :D ). Anyone else have a hardcore welcome back class?

We do not go back until Jan. 02, but as always, I expect punishment for overindulging during the holidays.

Yes. Yesterday and today we've been having special 3 hour morning sessions. Feels good though.

Hope everyone had a happy holiday and has a safe new year.

I have not been back to class yet. Just as Christmas was getting over, I got sick, and had to miss this week. I will be back to it next week, though, and I will be looking forward to getting back into lifting and conditioning as well.

We will definately make up for tuesday when I go back. I'm looking forward to it, because I had two weeks off from it and have been eating like a pig this past holiday. So, I could use those extra workouts of labor.

I can't wait to get back to my normal routine on Tuesday.

Starting full contact KB class next week for three months. After that, either BJJ or stay with KB and add BJJ. Oh my body...

I'd better go finish off that St. Pauli Girl in the fridge.

Only as good as I make myself be, only as bad as I let myself be.

I dont' go back until the 9th but I'm starting to do stuff again. I'll probably be doing a bit of hockey too so I can expect to be sore!

Our Sensei is on vacation until Jan. 11th. He closed the dojo for 3 weeks. Thankfully, he gave me a key and me and two other guys have been training Tuesdays and Thursdays in his absence. One of the other guys is our Senpai who happens to be home from college for semester break. He was given strict instructions not to teach anything new and not to let us practice anything that might get somebody injured (sparring, self defense, etc.). So, we're just spending an hour or so doing warmups, floor exercises and kata. At least we'll still be somehwat in shape when Sensei gets back.
