In karate, what is the color order of the belts? Such as, white, then, up to black belt? Is it the same for all martial arts? thanks everyone.

It varies from style to style. Some styles don't even have ranks. Kung fu uses sashes. Thai boxing and boxing don't have rankings.

That said, you typically start at white, then move onto a green, then perhaps blue, towards brown, and then a red or black belt.

My system of TKD goes white, orange, green, blue, brown, and black. Each color (except white) has a lo and a hi grade, until brown, which has a lo, mid, and hi grade. Then, you get recommended black, then full black.

These are for the arts I study/ have studied:

TKD: white, yellow, blue, purple, green, brown, red, red-black, black

Chuan Fa (Kung Fu), sashes: white, green, brown, black

Shotokan: white, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple, brown, black

Aiki Jujitsu: white, brown, black

Kobudo: white, blue, green, purple, brown, black

BJJ: white, blue, purple, brown black

Of course each has degrees of black belt. But that did not represent a change in color of the belt.
