Are your knees any better? Have you found out anything else? just wondering about you. :karate:

They aren't quite as sore as they have been, but that is mainly due to me being sick lately, and being unable to workout on a regular basis. I think I still need to see an orthopedists about them.

BM, did you ever see a doc?

I asked my GP about them, and they said the most they can really do is give me steroid shots, into my knees. I opted out of that!

I haven't seen an orthopedist yet, though, so I don't know how that will go.

Ouch! I'm with ya. I don't want cortisone shots into my hip, either.

Had them in my back, three times and they did nothing! surgery was a the answer in that situation.

They will say you're not good enough, strong enough or talented enough; you're the wrong height or the wrong weight or the wrong type to play this or achieve this. What kind of surgery? What exactly was wrong?

I had a slipped vertabrae. L4 to be exact. Back in 2004 I was on my way home from my brown belt test and my car got hit by a Mack truck, (short story). I had a year and a half of conservative treatment, then had a lamectomy, with hardware. They left the disc in as it was in good condition, and my back has been awesome since. I came back to training four months after the surgery and have been back for eight months now. I'm 42 and give the credit to my MA training before the surgery, help me recover so quick. I'm moved on now to painful knees which have both been scoped :o and other insignificant obstacles. I love my Martial Arts. :D
