Which two are they bringing in?
patusai Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 In Isshin Ryu I know all the ones in that system although I should get some of my techniques corrected. In So Ryu I would still need to learn SoShin, Unshu and Ura kata for Usieshi & Kushanku. Still needing correction of some of the kata I am sure.In Shorin Ryu most of what I learned I forgot and perform similar kata (such as the Pian, Passai, Gojushiho and such) the way that another system teaches them. I found it too difficult to perform variations of the same kata in two systems. "Don't tell me the sky's the limit because I have seen footprints on the moon!" -- Paul Brandt

lordtariel Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 That is a lot of kata. There's a lot of similarities between some of the katas, so that helps, but it's daunting to think about sometimes. There's no place like 127.0.0.1
