Shotokan-kez
For me Christmas this year is going to be very special and exciting. My mother used to live next door to me, until my step-dad got a promotion at work and so they re-located to Scotland. Of course we all miss each other like mad and i visit once a year. They bought a run down farm in Scotland for £50,000. It has taken them four years to build it up and they now have a beautiful bungalow converted from a barn. It now stands at £500,000. Anyway to cut a long story short, me and my two sons are going there for christmas and it's our first christmas in mums new house after four years of hassel, building, designing, ect, so this makes it that extra special. So this year i have volunteered to make christmas dinner! Arrrggghhh for seven people I'm going to get the biggest turkey ever, roast parsnips, roast potato's, swede and carrots, peas, yorkshire pudding...yummy! Mum has got a huge bay window where she is going to put the biggest tree ever. My boys are going to help her decorate. Should be fun So what do you guys normally do over the christmas period, what plans do you have? I adore christmas and i wanted to share this because as i say it's extra special this year and my mum and step-dad deserve it! Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk

karate carolyn
oh that sounds likes it going to be a xmas to remember hope it all goes well!!We'll for me Xmas has changed over the years I lost my dad a few years ago and my brother is living in South Korea so cant make it back home so its just my mum and i but we still have a great time and stuff our self silly with food!! as for what we do, we have never had a traditional dinner but instead get the biggest Chinese meal ever!! (oh my god i cant wait !!) some times i think im the only one who does this but we're not big turkey fans and dont see the point in eating something for the sake of it. Well again hope it all works out for you Shotokan Kez and hope you have a wonderful time with your family (and the same to you all)Carolyn x
Shotokan-kez
That sounds lovely Carolyn, never heard of having a chinese meal on christmas day. But what counts the most is that you and your mum will have a great time and enjoy every last bite lol. ArisuTanaka
wow, i hope everyones x-mass is fun this year, usually my family wakes up opens stalkings, then has a continental breakfast followed by present opening. The present opening take time. We usually have lunch afterwards followed by a nap. The paper is purchased so that we may go shopping the following day.Unfortunately my grandfathers health has been poor, he has good days and bad days. my mom is working on thanksgiving and possibly christmass evening. My father is in Iraq, and my siblings are all over the place. 2 in spain, 2 in arizona, 1 in texas, 2 in sothern california, and that makes the holidays hard. So i think this year it will also be mom and i. I think i might want to try karate carolines chinese food on x-mass. Turkey makes me tired and its not really my fav. I love spiral honeyglazed ham. I hope everyones holidays are delightful. Shotkan kez i wish you luck in cooking a meal for seven, i am not nearly as ambitious. But you will have to share with us the results of your holiday.Happy Holiday!!! "Never leave that to tomorrow for which you can do today." -Ben. Frank. bushido_man96
For me, Christmas is about God and Family. My family (brothers) is a little spread out, so we get together usually in February. However, my wife and I's family like to have her dad over, and have a soup and open presents. And then, another great big turkey dinner!!!! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Shotokan-kez
Yummy! Turkey turkey turkey! So what's everyone hoping to get off santa this year? I have got my son a nintendo ds and a game to go with it. My youngest is getting something to do with trains, he's only 2 and a half so he's easy to buy for, he just adores trains. Money is really tight this year so they can't have half as much as i normally get. I asked my mum for some slippers and a dressing gown! Like Bushido said it's about the family and love ect, i love seeing the kids faces on xmas morning when they see tree and pressies....woohoo Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk
badclams
I cant wait till it's over,..too bittersweet for me. suicides and domestic violence hits alltime highs here doing that time of year. besides, I allways wind up spending it alone. Lead, follow, or get the hell outta my way !
bushido_man96
Sorry to hear that, badclams. I knew that area of the country was bad about that.....its all the rain and dreary weather. You should find somewhere to spend it. See if some friends invite you over, and take advantage of that. Or, have one of your own, post-Thanksgiving, to invite your friends over. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
