Ok, dumb question......what's your opinion

I try to keep loose all the time the last few years its been kinda tough to keep up with but I am working it again. I do have a enough flexibility to kick cold at full force without injury. My suggestion would to get to this point. Remember you don't have to kick high in the street just hard.

:D I can do my kicks high and fast without any kind of warmup, and hitting the target well. I often do this prancing around the house.

Bushido, if you used to be able to do this before age....i better watch out :lol:

Well, how old are you? I am 28, 29 in January.

The kicks of the styles that I practice I can do easily at full force without the need to stretch as the range of motion of the kicks is based on "normal" flexibilty.

I find this very interesting. It makes good sense.

That is a good point. I can kick hard when I am cold, as long as it is from knee to waist level. Anything over that, doesn't really work anymore.

Awww i bet you luck fine. :) Funny actually i was showing off on ere saying i can still do really high fast kicks without a warm up. I tried it in the kitchen yesterday and i heard a big crack in my hips, so i tried it with my other leg and the same happened. So i stand completely corrected lol :D

For me I warm up and stretch every day, seven days a week. not just my legs, but my whole body. Before I go to the dojo than again when I'm there. To me it helps get me limber and maintain my flexibility. Being limber and flexibil helps prevent injuries. I'm 6' and can nail a guy in my class who is 6'3'' in the face!

How many nuns could a nunchuk chuck if a nunchuk could chuck nuns?

It's good to practice this way. The guy jumping you on the street isn't going to give you time to stretch out. At the same time though, make sure you don't go to crazy without warmup. Remeber, you don't have to high kick an attacker in the head. Kick him in the gut, then when he's doubled over kick him in the head. :D
