Konoko Posted November 2, 2006 Share Posted November 2, 2006 Ive got a problem at the moment where everytime I kick a pad or anything the arch of my foot really hurts, its really impacting on my training, does anyone know what this might be? I've endured a burning for years now in my right foot, although it only bothers me right after I take shoes off or when I get up at night. It's like a soreness that never seems to go away completely. Zapatista Posted November 2, 2006 Share Posted November 2, 2006 Yes I would put my money on plantar faciitis. It is a horrible thing too since there is no way to "cure" it. It's basically a form of tendonitis. But yes, see your doctor. Does it hurt to walk at all? Or if you're sitting/laying down for a long period of time (such as sleeping or just watching TV or sitting at a desk at work) and then you get up to walk, does your foot/feet hurt? Fosgate Posted November 3, 2006 Share Posted November 3, 2006 Bone spur? As far as plantar, I've heard of people taking care of it completely by sleeping with hiking shoes for a while. Rick_72 Posted November 3, 2006 Share Posted November 3, 2006 I had plantar faciitis for the better part of a year. After visiting a podiatrist, and him giving me a list of the proper stretches (which you can actually find on the net) I managed to beat it. In just a month or so, after doing the stretches every morning before I got out of bed, it went away.I'm not sure it this is what you have, since your not feeling it in the morning when you get up, or if you've been laying down for a while and try to get up.
