ShotokanKid Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 I just took my nidan test, here's a video I made the same day as the test. The second kick wasn't that hard, I was just dizzy from the first and tired from doing kumite for a long time. I tried to tell everyone I was fine and just needed a moment, but the doctor there said I had a concussion and told my parents to take me to the emergency room. I got off pretty light compared to the other people:One of our guys is walking with a cane, one messed up his already injured shoulder, a girl had her nose broken (and she didn't even say anything- that's tough) and one of the guys got a bloody nose. And of course, everyone's a bit bruised.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piFnP-odsoY "What we do in life, echoes in eternity.""We must all fear evil men. unknownstyle Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 did you go from a junior black to a nidan? "Live life easy and peacefully, but when it is time to fight become ferocious."
ShotokanKid Posted October 29, 2006 Author Posted October 29, 2006 did you go from a junior black to a nidan?yes, I failed the jr nidan test, so they told me to wait until I was old enough to test for the real nidan. cathal Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 You did do fine, the person who kicked you seemed to lack some control. No offence intended. .The best victory is when the opponent surrendersof its own accord before there are any actualhostilities...It is best to win without fighting.- Sun-tzu
