obiwansbane Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Chroniclez instead of jumping vertically just bring ure knees to your chest... it doesnt work ure legs as much but some compromises have to be made i guess....i hate burpies with a passion... normal i could prob clear 30 - 40 a min easy... but then they get you to do them in reverse ...sit back on ure hands dont let ure butt touch the ground kick ure legs out bring them back jump up, repeat...i despise those Brown belt... win trophies... grade... lose trophies... so much fun
bushido_man96 Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 i have a question, are these effective at all if you do them without the jump? Because I would like to develop a morning/night training routine which I do at home when i get out of bed. the problem is I have a 9foot cieling (basement suite), but I do have a fair ammount of room (ie. for shadow boxing), what do you guys recommend I do?Do them outside. That will help. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
baronbvp Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 These are killer and will bump your heart rate right up. Thighs will burn with the jump, but you can do them without the jump if your ceiling is low. They can be hard on the knees, though. Another good, similar exercise is bullfrogs: 1. Start standing with feet shoulder width apart2. Squat down3. Jump up off the ground and throw your head back so you look almost straight up (but don't fall down)4. Repeat 10-20 timesNo pushups, but your heart will beat as fast as it can. Be ready. Only as good as I make myself be, only as bad as I let myself be.Martial arts are like kinetic chess. Your move.
bushido_man96 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Frog jumps are great for the legs; they tucker me out quick! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
