Stories from the dojo...

Recommended Posts

I know I already posted one, but I remembered an incident that just cracked me up. We had this new little kid with severe ADD starting up and my instructor had asked me to get him started, including having him get in the gi. I thought he was in the changing room putting it on, when I looked out to the training floor and saw this kid in nothing but underwear doing donkey type kicks at some other kids. They were so shocked, they just stood there. I got laughing so hard. Needless to say, he was so hyper and young that after 2 weeks, my instructor told his mom that he wasn't quite ready and asked her to come back in 6 months and try again. She never did though.

A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.

On Halloween we had two kids (not students) come in the dojo wearing nija costumes, one even had a plastic katana. Needless to say they were asked to leave as the whole class couldn't stop laughing. I don't even think it was a full moon.

How many nuns could a nunchuk chuck if a nunchuk could chuck nuns?

On Halloween we were Sparring and doing self defences when our instructor sliped out of the room. He brought back a banana cream pie and when the asisstant instructor wasn't looking, he came up behind her and smashed the pie in her face! We all had a good laugh that night. (To bushido) uhh is it Chuck Norris?

"Sword-Chucks yo."
