ok so april 9th 2005 i broke my arm completely in half i mean both bones in it were snapped. it is healed now but since the docs didnt set it back right the doc said it will never be full strength again. does anyone think it will limit my abilities? also i am getting into wrestling this year in school(which i know nothing about and would also like help in that area like moves, rules, and pretty much any thing about it you all know) and i would like any advice or precautions on that

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.

It should be OK. I wouldn't let it prohibit you from doing wrestling. If you are truly concerned, talk to an orthopaedic doctor first.

A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.

Make sure that you know what you can and cannot do with your arm. This way, you will keep from hurting it as much as possible. I think it is great that you won't let a physical problem like that stop you from competing. Did you know that Jean Jaques Machado's left hand never fully developed? And he has turned out to be one of the greatest grapplers of all time. Go for it, and good luck to you! :karate:

Just be wary of what you do and don't do with that arm. If there are any moves that put too much strain on it then ease off it a bit. Keep up the physio training and keep working/building the muscle on that arm as they would have weakened whilst your arm was in plaster.

When I broke my hand it took a good few years before it was back to 100%, but I now have a bit of rhumatism (no idea how to spell that!) in that hand so every now and again it gets very uncomfortable and I have to wear a handwrist support.
