Myth
Hi,Pretty soon, in two weeks, there will be a Tang Soo Do championship and the grandmaster of the WTSDA will be there.I will be there also, participating in sparring.Actually, this will be my very first tournament, advice is welcome. As this is a open/public championship there are people coming all the way from everywere in Europe, mainly because the grandmaster is there, he's respected quite a bit, and, I suppose, not for nothing.Tang Soo Do is quite 'rare' in some way, but will anyone from these forums be there? And advice on sparring is welcome.Thanks,- Myth Green belt Tang Soo Do. And I love it!
MisterRadley
I don't have any advice on sparring, but good luck!
bushido_man96
Good luck!Advise on sparring would be easier to give if you give us some information on your sparring system. But, in general, don't go crazy and wear yourself out. You will probably be nervous, so do some breathing and try to relax yourself. Try to feel out your opponent by doing some stomps, or by throwing a kick or strike, and remembering how they react to it. This info will help you to set them up and counter their attacks.Hope this helps! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
