KarateKen Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Rams were winners over the Vikings on Thursday Night Football, 30-20. The Vikings were undefeated on Sunday morning and now quickly have two losses. They will have to sit on these losses for a bit, the next game for the Vikings is Sunday night, November 3, against the Colts.
KarateKen Posted October 28 Posted October 28 The Jets lost to the Patriots and are now in last place in the AFC East, dropping to 2-6 and have lost five in a row. WOW. The 25-22 win by the Patriots was done with a TD in the final minute, followed by a two-point conversion. I figured Rodgers would get them a FG attempt but it never came to be. The struggling Jets have a quick turnaround, hosting the 6-2 Texans on Thursday night. It doesn't get any easier for New York. The Lions got into their Ford Mustangs and drove over the Titans on Sunday, a 52-14 blowout as Detroit improves to 6-1. Next week the Lions travel to the frozen tundra (well maybe not frozen yet) of Lambeau Field in Green Bay to face the Packers. The Ravens who looked unstoppable the last few weeks lost in Cleveland to a Browns team that did not have Watson, ending the Ravens five game win streak. The Chiefs stayed unbeaten by defeating the Raiders. Chiefs play the Bucs at home a week from Monday, on November 4, and already are in good position for the playoffs, and even home field, as they are two games up on every team in the AFC. Despite Mahomes having a down season by the stats, the Chiefs just keep winning. I thought KC would be good, but not 7-0. Mahomes and Ried are the Brady and Belichick of this era. Lots of football left but no question they are still the team to beat. The 49ers beat the Cowboys, Bills beat the Seahawks, Falcons topped the Bucs, and the Chargers won against the Saints, to name a few of the other games. 1
bushido_man96 Posted October 28 Author Posted October 28 I thought KC's offense was moving better this week, until they had a bad possession inside the 5 that almost ended in disaster. That defense made two goal-line stands that were just amazing. I really think the Chiefs should have held the Raiders to 13 points, but they played prevent on that last possession, which I think they did much too early. However, I think Spags knew with no timeouts left, they could let the Raiders drain the clock themselves, which is what they did. Still, I would have much rather seen them play better defense on that last drive. Deandre Hopkins looked good when he was on the field. I didn't expect to see him much, due to the complexity of the system Reid runs. After a full week of practice, he should be able to be more of a factor on Monday Night Football. The Buccaneers are going to be a tough out, so they better show up to play. 1 https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
KarateKen Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Bad news for the Texans, WR Stephon Diggs is out for the season with a torn ACL. The Texans are 6-2 and one of the top contenders, not sure how this will impact but we might learn a little bit on Thursday night as the Texans spend Halloween in NY against the Jets.
KarateKen Posted November 1 Posted November 1 The NFL continues to be unpredictable. The NY Jets pulled out a Thursday night win against the Texans to end a five-game losing streak and improve to 3-6. Houston falls to 6-3.
KarateKen Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I did not get a chance to watch any football today, but I did see the Lions won in Green Bay, putting them at 7-1. Vikings won and are 6-2. NFC North looking tough, three teams with at least six wins. The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday at 4pm eastern. Not sure what to expect but a good chance there will be some movement that day. There seems to be a lot of anxiety about Tuesday. I am not sure what else is happening on November 5, I am not aware of anything, so I think a lot of people are on edge about what could take place at the NFL trade deadline.
sensei8 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 (edited) I can either laugh or cry at some of the NFL teams as far as how they seem to be self-destructing themselves week after week. I choice to just laugh. My Cowboys have a 22% chance of making it to the playoffs. The Seahawks, a team that one of my friend's cheers on, have a 21% chance of making it to the playoffs. The Raiders, a team that my wife cheers on, only have a 1% chance of making it to the playoffs. Read recently that these 5 NFL Head Coaches might get the axe... >>Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce. His last game might be November 29th at Kansas City Chiefs. >>Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy. Hjs last game might be January 5th at Philadelphia Eagles. >>Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski. His last game might be December 19th at Cincinnati Bengals. >>New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen. His last game might be November 17th vs. Cleveland Browns. FIRED MONDAY!! Other NFL Head Coach's that are not sitting so pretty are: Dave Canales, Carolina Panthers...Brian Callahan, Tennessee Titans...Zac Taylor, Cincinnati Bengals...Doug Pederson, Jacksonville Jaguars. bushido_man96 Posted November 5 Author Posted November 5 Chiefs continue to roll, although it seems like just barely every week. The defense is still solid. D-Hop looked great last night in that win! I can't wait to see what another week of practice brings in. And I think it will help open up Kelce even more. They both had a great game, and Hunt continues to bring toughness and tenacity to the huddle. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
sensei8 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I can see the Chiefs' Redwood Forest and Legion of Doom doing what NO NFL team has ever accomplished during the Super Bowl age...THREE-PEAT!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
KarateKen Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Lots of talk about the ending to Thursday night's game where the Ravens won 35-34. Lions play the Texans on Sunday Night Football, looking forward to that one.
