sliknik Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 himy mum think i should stop karate but i got loads of free lessons https://www.kempojitsu.co.ukhttps://www.hyogendo.com
alsey Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 why does your mum think you should stop karate? "Gently return to the simple physical sensation of the breath. Then do it again, and again, and again. Somewhere in this process, you will come face-to-face with the sudden and shocking realization that you are completely crazy. Your mind is a shrieking, gibbering madhouse on wheels." - ven. henepola gunaratana
sliknik Posted September 11, 2006 Author Posted September 11, 2006 because of money, to far, and my bad knee and i should wait to get my black belt in jujitsu https://www.kempojitsu.co.ukhttps://www.hyogendo.com
alsey Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 do your best to tell her what you think but if your mum's paying for the lessons and taking you to them, then its up to her really. maybe waiting until you have a jujitsu black belt wouldn't be a bad idea; i had a karate black belt before i started jujitsu. it can be good to be properly grounded in one style before getting into another one. Shotokan-kez Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Hi there. Maybe your mum is just looking out for you. She may have a point, and like alsey says if you wait for your black belt in ju-jitsu you will have a good grounding ready to start in karate. Why do you have loads of free lessons? Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk
bushido_man96 Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Talk with her, and see what you can work out. If she is taking you there, and is worried about an injury, she may have good cause. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Zorbasan Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 i think a bit more background would help to give advice on this one. Now you use head for something other than target.
