Shotokan-kez Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Ha 60, i was going to say earlier that he may have been too old to do more.....when did he loose his teeth? Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk
DragonMike Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 I was hoping his career deteriated into alley street fights...oh wait...Seriously, I wish this weren't being made. It looks aweful and it tarnishes his image-like Jerry Rice's last seasons. 5th Dan Tang Soo Do
kzshin Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 I think the movie should just end at Rocky 4.
kenpo.stylist Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 aw c'mon guys...I liked part 5. It had a coming of age for his son, and all that good mentor-losing-student-to-bad-guy-with-more-money drama. I'm a fan, so I'll be there when it opens.
bushido_man96 Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I liked 5 as well....I mean, come on, it has the best street fight ever filmed!!! "I didn't hear no bell!" https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
DragonMike Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 5 just seemed like a total money grab to me. 5th Dan Tang Soo Do
KarateK Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Now I am usually a sequel fan - however I hope this lives up to expectations - Rocky 5 did almost quash my love of sequels - surely its better to end on a high like Lethal Weapon? It would be awful for people to remember the Rocky series based on this last film if it truly does turn out to be pants. Karate Ni Sentinashi
hawkfish Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I liked all the Rocky movies, with Rocky III being my favorite, but this one looks like it could be one of the best yet. It gives old guys like me hope. DougShodan, Shotokan Karate & 1st Kyu, IaidoShotokanMaster.comShotokanPlanet.org
kenpo.stylist Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 I think part 4 is my favorite..."I Must Break You!"-Ivan Drago
patusai Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Maybe in 7 (and I am thinking ahead to the next one) Rocky could fight Bin Laden in a winner take all for all the marbles! I say keep on going for as long as it can go. What is the most sequeled movie of all time? Maybe Rocky can beat that too. Within the last few days I rented as many as I can find and I got caught up into it. Rocky! Rocky! Rocky!
