One of my friends who is a Black Belt in Shaolin Kempo actually wrote a novel about a Hero who is a Shaolin Kempo Instructor.

I am not a big reader, but I have ordered this book, Point and Shoot by G.D. Baum, from Amazon.

I am amazed that I now know someone who has actually written a published book, but I am more amazed that the Hero is a Martial Arts instructor.

I am looking forward to reading this book.

I know most movies are based off books, but are there any other good books like this one that is worth recommending.

also - If you read this book, please post to let everyone know what you thought of it. I will post my thoughts once I finish reading it.

i'm currently reading cloud of sparrows by takeshi matsuoka. i havn't read much of it yet, but its good so far. its set towards the end of the tokugawa shogunate, its following a sort of unconventional daimyo and his friends, and a couple of american missionaries, one of whom is a bit of gunslinger type guy.

I have never heard of any of these books but i have always wondered if there were any real martial arts story books out there (novels). I think a book a bit like the karate kid movies would be great. Anyone make any good suggestions?
