I asked my sensei. Thanks for all your input and help.

I don't know how to spell it, but we start with, "Yoshiro omawato migi obi na su."

Thanks again

Okay... lets see;

"Yoshiro", could be "Well..." or "Ready!" do you mean " ushiro "? Which means Back

"Omawato", have no idea...

"Migi" means "right/correct"

"Obi" is belt

"Na" could be name/title...

And "Su"... no idea!

So (my interpretation) could be; Ready! All gi's and belts correct to Rank... Again, my interpretation...

What is it meant to mean? :D

Nice Work. Would be a little easier with English translation though....

The mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open.

Good work Shui, what it basically means, is straighten out your gi and obi and line up by rank...

More or less.

^ Well; that wasn't bad for me! :D

If it were written in japanese/katan/hirgagana then i would've been able to do a better job...

That's the problem with writing the words phonetically, you can bet that you'll get a word wrong and the whole thing will sound completely different! :lol:

Each dojo have their own formalities. As has been suggested, it is totally approriate to ask your instructor for guidance on this. By observation, the general proceedure does not seem to be all that different from school to school.
