i just got me a pair of ankle weights 5 lbs each and wrist weights 2.5 lbs each

now when i got them i put them on and i just spent the whole day with them on..

it didnt hurt like some people say

but my question is is it bad for you?

i know puching/kicking and excersizing can cause injuries but my question is if i just wearn them in the morning and go along my usual day, while wearing them.. you know like drink water, walk...ect

would it cause problems?

If you have healthy and strong joints, wearing weights should not be a problem while doing "normal" non-workout type activities.

You'll feel them if you do sword drills for an hour...

i wouldnt have thought that wearing the weights thru your normal day would do all that much.

i guess it depends what you do. if you sit at a desk on the computer then you really arent lifting the weights. i would really only wear them during excersise.

Now you use head for something other than target.

i usually walk allot, move around.... i live in the city.. so ya Allot of Walking

i spend about 5 hours walking around each day so you think itll help?

i mean 5 lbs isnt much but it feels heavy

So shouldn't you use the ankle/wrist weights for training? I was thinking of getting myself some for when i practise my karate at home for building muscle and strength in my arms and legs. I dont think i even considered wearing them in daily routines, but i guess i can now.

Not for fast punching/ kicking as it can lead to damaged joints. Better to wear them for slow kata practice (instead of lots of kicking reps for example) or wearing whilst skipping or other cardio.
