bushido_man96 Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Well besides MA, parkour is my next favorite activity. It's just so cool!!!And when you combine the two... whoppah! Neo-ninjitsu Well... not really... in fact not at all but I think that's the general impression with a lot of people I've asked about this. What is parkour? https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
parkerlineage Posted August 23, 2006 Author Posted August 23, 2006 Also known as freerunning, I believe, it mostly involves trespassing and doing rad things on people's buildings, ie. jumping off of roofs, from roof to roof, scaling walls, doing cool things like kicking off one wall then bounching off another, and then landing on the roof (my claim to fame move)...it's really fun, and good for MA. I have heard of freerunning. I saw it once on TV, and it was kind of cool, and very athletic. I, however, am not quite that agile. I do like trying to bound things or balance on things from time to time. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
parkerlineage Posted August 23, 2006 Author Posted August 23, 2006 Yeah, I'm not nearly as hardcore as anybody you've ever seen, I'm sure. It's more of pansy freerunning. Perhaps...freejogging? Anbu Alex Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 but jujutsu is used in the X-kans i dunno about these other styles of ninjutsu never seen them but its as autherntic as you can geti think ppl should consider these other "ninjutsu" styles like american karate was developed here i know atleast in togakure ninjutsu it was developed by a samurai White belt for life"Destroy the enemies power but leave his life"
Shotokan-kez Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 We could call it neojutsu, except people would assume that we could stop bullets with our minds, bend completely backward, and move between the Matrix and the real world.Between jujitsu and ninjutsu, I believe the biggest simliarities are:-They are both Japanese-They rhymeOther than that - no.Oh right thats answers my question then! Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk
