kyokushin_coe
My second time using nunchucks in class was a very painful one.Sensie Danny Deason who i beleieve is exellent with this weapon was going over the very basics with us .I thought doing the figure 8 with the nunchucks was going fine so i tried to speed it up a little.Low and behold i hit myself in the family jewels with them.Boy that HURT.has anyone else ever hurt themselves while weapon training brown belt kyokushinkia
Scotty
I've done the exact same thing with the exact same weapon! All I can say is don't bother with speed until you have a few different techniques dialled. Because as you practise more, you get a 'feel' for the nunchucks, and you get an idea of how they react to your movements. The best armour is to keep out of range. bushido_man96
The problem I had with the chucks is that I would hit myself in the back of the head, and then, for some reason, the chucks would just throw themselves toward the floor, in a very violent manner. Don't know why...... https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
alsey
yeah, done the same thing with nunchucks. whacked myself in the kidneys a few times as well with them. i once hit myself in the knee so hard with a staff that i fell to the floor; that was probably my worst weapons mishap. IcemanSK
The back of the head & the groin are the regular "self-inflicted" targets for a lot of folks. Being a good fighter is One thing. pineapple
I beat myself up learning the nunchuckus. I guess that is why they make foam ones to learn with. What works works
