That's cool. That may be the case. I just remembered from some strategy guides I had looked at for Tekken 3, and I think that is what they said. Maybe they borrowed from kyokushin.

Incidentally, in the intro for Tekken 3, Hwa Rang does the Hwa Rang TKD form. I thought it was pretty cool.

Yeah I've seen it , HwaRang's TKD form , pretty cool (To good to be true :P) I mean , his moves are merely perfect

I think they said it was Mishima style karate, made up by the Mishima family in the game. Totally fictitious style.

Warning Tekken geek answer coming:

Jin's style WAS a Mishima style Karate for the first three Tekken games, but it changed for Tekken 4 and onward because he was betrayed by the Mishima family as they (both his father and grandfather, I believe) tried to kill him. He abandoned the style, retraining himself (into what may or may not be a real form of Karate). You'll note that Jin as a character has virtually all new moves from Tekken 3 to Tekken 4.

I have not played Tekken 5 yet, so i dont know about that one.

Hwarang is also my favorite.

I play a wrestling game online. If you'd like to play follow this link

I think in 5 it is Kyokushin.
