June 4, 200620 yr Im intrested in this thread now, I went on a google search for a name for the "Kung Fu Uniform"Theres nothing about it at all, its just reffered to as the "Kung Fu Uniform" in all contexts I read.I have my suspicion that it hasnt been given a name like the "Karate Uniform" is called a Gi/Kaikogi
June 7, 200620 yr Im actually ashamed to say I can't bring a name for a Kung Fu Uniform to mind. . . . . I dont think it has a chinese name. . . . "We follow the World,The World follows Heaven,Heaven follows Tao,Tao follows the way things are."
June 7, 200620 yr There is no such thing as a kung fu uniform. The thing you are sometimes asked to wear in a chinese martial arts class is a modern reproduction of old chinese clothing and as such, there is no name for that. It was just normal everyday clothing. what do i know, i'm an idiot.
June 10, 200620 yr Author Yes, it does. Thank you all very much. Very interesting... American Kenpo Karate- First Degree Black Belt"He who hesitates, meditates in a horizontal position."Ed Parker
June 11, 200620 yr I also asked my girl friend she said no, they practice with their normal clothesing.
June 11, 200620 yr Which is exactly why I'm always a little bit suspicious of Kung Fu schools insisting that you buy the baggy black trousers and insisting you wear a white t-shirt. In Hong Kong, I trained in shorts and what-ever t-shirt I was wearing that day. what do i know, i'm an idiot.
