Years ago i visited a martial arts store in Manchester, i was in awe in there i loved it. It sold equipment, clothing, books, ect. I took a trip to Manchester yesterday with my son and i couldn't find it! I did end up in one martial arts store near Picadilly gardens but that wasn't the one i meant and it was tacky and small, so this has left me feeling rather frustrated because i know there was another one.

So then.....i think it was called Lee's martial arts (But not certain), and at the end of Portland Street past Picadilly. Does anybody know it? I will keep looking but it's a long trip into Manchester from where i live. I bet i just dreamt it lol....no really i did go in it!!

Can anybody help? I have tried google but nothing came up!

I remember that Shop, but I think after the Bombing and the refurbisments they just closed and moved on, I only know of one in chorlton called NWA on WIlbraham road but its not as big as Lees, failing that I'd recomend Taosport London or BLitz from Brum

There is one in Manchester, I bought some TKD armor from it, I'm not 100% sure where abouts it is since it was a few years ago. Could be the one you was trying to find?

the shop you are thinking of was called "chung yee's" and had their own dojo next to the shop, where i used to train in goju-kai karate, the bad thing is that the small shop you went to "van dangs" is what is left of chung yee's,the same people run it,but the shop is,as you saw, much smaller :)

hope this helps

Well, my guess is it won't help much, azodai, since the original post was 5 years ago. :D But it might! I was curious about this thread, even though I don't live in England. The original store described sounds like something out of a Harry Potter story. :)
