the.theory1 Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 I'm testing for my purple belt this saturday, and I'm sourt of worried, I hope i'll do fine, but the thing is my terminology that they give us, I can hardly remember it. I only remember bits and peices... Ugh, wish me luck.
pineapple Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Wishing you luck. No matter what the outcome, the main thing is that you try your best and never give up. What works works
Shotokan-kez Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 good luck hun. Does your sensei briefly shoe you the moves before you do them? Also do you have a grading sylabus, i often refer to that.Fingers crossed for you i'm sure you'll do fine.Kez xx Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk
patusai Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Good Luck. Just do you best and try not to get too worried about it. Relax and calm going into the test. "Don't tell me the sky's the limit because I have seen footprints on the moon!" -- Paul Brandt
jaymac Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Terminology can be easy if you make flash cards. It is alot easier to learn it that way and can be somewhat fun. A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.

Holland Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Good Luck. One thing that might be good is if you can get a senior student to give you kind of a practice test...that usually helps the nerves.
ps1 Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 I will not wish you luck. I find that most who are about to test do not actually need the luck they ask for. Instead...I will tell you to do your best. If you do that, you will pass! Let us know how it goes. "It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenius."
