Hey all , do you guys have any idea what the requirements for a Grand Master is?

I am training for myself not anyone else.. to be the best I can be in everything.

I would imagine the requirements are different for different martials arts...but generally speaking, you must hold a very high blackbelt to be a Grand Master.

There are no rules thats the sad part. In the olden days it was thought that 15-20 years training would set you at Master status.

 

Sheesh I have been training for 28 years LOL

 

I train for training not for outside approval. I think thats how it should be.

IMO the only Grandmaster is the oldest living person in a given style who is reconized by a international board.

Too many people call themselves masters today. Mainly to impress or for commercial benifits. A master would suggest someone who has mastered and learnt all there is to know. Does this person exist ? I think not. We are all eternal students and should never think we have ever learnt all there is to learn.
