Orion
I've been trying to squash all my training into an hour each night, but don't feel like i've really worked enough on each part of my body. Is it best to do say:Monday :- legsTuesday :- Back and AbsWednesday :- CardioThursday :- ArmsFriday :- Pecs and forearmsEtc or keep to my doing all of it alternate nights? Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do.
Sohan
Split routines are better than total body programs because you can recover more effectively from each workout. Are you only doing cardio once per week? You need 3x to see any real gains in aerobic capacity. Forearms should be trained on arms day, and give yourself an extra day between back and arms.I assume on your pecs day you are training bench press, dumbbell press, etc. Are you doing any shoulder training? With respect,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." Orion
Hi SohanThis was a general thing I do my full workout in one at the moment. At present I walk two miles a day quickly so I count that as my cardio but that will be stopping on Friday (changing jobs).I will add more specific things now i am splitting my body parts up.Thanks for your help. Medici
I really don't like this workout. Arms and the next day chest? Your tri's are sore for a chest workout? No! By the way, less is often more with lifting, an hour is about perfect for any body part. Do abs every day, or close to that. Do arms AFTER body exercises (chest, back). Do arms AFTER body exercises (chest, back). Not everyone works the same, it may work for him. Also, if your triceps are tired, it will force your chest to work harder, especially if you are doing dumbbell flyes as your primary chest exercise, which you should.Aodhan There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.-Douglas Everett, American hockey player

I was friends with a fellow who had just incredible upper body development through training this way, and I know he was clean, but he maxed on bench at only 315 while I was over 400.Everybody responds in their own way to training methodologies. And training for muscle size is not necessarily the route to greater strength. With respect,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." I would like to work out 4 or 5 times a week as opposed to 2 or 3. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
