I just got kicked in the groin @ class today. Fortunately I had my cup. Unfortunately, it still hurt.

My 2 questions are:

1) after getting kicked, someone put their arms around me and bounced me. The pain went away. How does work?

2) at what point do you get permanently... messed up... and how would you know it?

(I'm not too worried about #2 but I've been hit pretty hard in the groin a few times so I would like to know)

I've never heard of it, but it might have been that you where concentrating on keeping your balance or was the person bouncing you cute :brow:

With regards to permenant problems even once can cause damage, best to be careful. It also depends where abouts you where kicked.

Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do.

I wouldn't think that any permanent damage was caused. Things to look for are blood in the urine, pain while urinating, pain in the area that won't go away, things of that nature. I've been smacked in the same area with a teeter totter (seesaw for some of you) when I was about 8, and everything still functions.

I think that the bouncing brings things back down

I've been kneed in the groin (without a cup)

What he did was have me squat down and then from behind, he put his arms under mine, lifted me, and bounced me a bit.
