Shotokan-kez Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I have to admit the karate kid movies are brilliant, I have the whole collection on DVD and was gutted to hear Pat Mortitia (forgot spelling) died. I also love Kickboxer with Van damme, the other 3 sequels are not half as good. Bloodsport is another good one, they should do more sequels of that. I recently watched Unleashed with Jet Li, That was fab! And last but not least I would do anything to meet Jackie Chan.Who rocks your boat? Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk
cathal Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I'd have to say Jackie Chan for me because I think he does a a decent job of acting as well as the fighting. .The best victory is when the opponent surrendersof its own accord before there are any actualhostilities...It is best to win without fighting.- Sun-tzu
Shotokan-kez Posted May 20, 2006 Author Posted May 20, 2006 Yeah Jackie Chan is brilliant with his acting and adds a lot of comedy in there too, this doesn't interfere with his MA. I haven't really seen any of his older movies but a lot of his new ones i have like shanghai noon/knights with Owen Wilson. Also Gorgeous and Mr Nice Guy, like i say funny too. Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk
fosforlu Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 I love Jet Li, mostly for his screen persona. I know people say he's not a good actor, but I think he has a real on-screen presence. I haven't seen his latest yet. But "Twin Warriors"/"Tai Chi Master" is my favorite. It was directed by Yuen Wo Ping who also directed "Iron Monkey", another great movie. I also love Bruce Lee, but i don't think his movies are that good. My favorite of his is "Way of the dragon". "Sanshiro Sugata" (dir.Akira Kurosawa) is the only film I've seen on judo; it's very naive but has a special place in my heart. And what about "Drunken Master" 1&2? There are so many MA films I love that I'm overwhelmed just thinking about them.
KarateK Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Sooo many titles soo few timeBest of the best, Crouching Tiger Hidden DragonAnyone seen Romeo Must Die?Theres a bit of MA in a lot of films. Cant quite decide if I like true MA films with the technique etc or just straight out action.Jet Li - Star Karate Ni Sentinashi

BLOWN Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 A lot of people like to dog Van Damme. I LOVED Kickboxer and Bloodsport. I also like Jet Li, and ofcourse Tony Jaa in Ongbak Thai Warrior and Tom-Yum-Goong. Jackie Chan doesn't do it for me.Bruce Lee, Jet Lee, Van Damme, and Tony Jaa for the win! -Ray -Pain Is Weakness Leaving The Body.-It's Not The Size Of The Dog In The Fight, But The Size Of The Fight In The Dog.
bushido_man96 Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I would have to go with Wesley Snipes in the original Blade. I liked Snipes in Passenger 57 and Demolition Man as well. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
