KarateK Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 I also would have learnt to drive a manual car instead of just an auto Karate Ni Sentinashi
jaymac Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 I would have liked to drive a manual also. I tried learning once, but I just scared my mom to death and she never tried showing me again. It didn't help that my little sister was crying in the back "let me out!" A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.
patusai Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 I learned to drive a manual (3 on the tree) in a company delivery van while working for a Big Chicago retailer who has been bought out by some NY company. It was an experience! Learning was 1/2 of the fun! The van only had one seat (drivers). I wish I would have saw the face of the guy who was teaching me when I dumped the clutch on my first try at starting out...he flew back into the back of the van...thank God the back doors were locked! Wonderful time!! "Don't tell me the sky's the limit because I have seen footprints on the moon!" -- Paul Brandt
KarateK Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Is it standard practice to learn manual or auto in the states? Karate Ni Sentinashi
RichardHangHong Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 I would have continued learning the drums, guitar and most definitely would have started karate sooner or at least had a shorter break. I did Wado when I was 6 for a year then moved out the area. Wish I had continued training, even if it was somewhere else. KarateK Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I wish I had not given up at 11, I stopped for 11 years and just got back into it last year. Karate Ni Sentinashi
Shotokan-kez Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 That was the same as me karate k i had a 10 year or more break. I was lucky my sensei let me back on my old grade otherwise i would'nt be grading for 1st kyu next. So i guess thats another thing i would have done different. Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk
KarateK Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 I started back as white again but due to the knee thing have gone back to purple. Again one thing diffferent ould have come back in as purple (4th kyu) then would probably be maybe 2nd kyu by now. Grrr Karate Ni Sentinashi
