Sohan Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Do you eat energy bars? I love Clif Bars because they don't have too much fat, have 10 gms of protein and plenty of complex carbs. They are easy to carry and taste great. Walnut raisin are my favorites. What are your favorites?Respectfully,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." Most of them have a really wierd aftertaste to me. The Clif Gels are good too.Aodhan There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.-Douglas Everett, American hockey player
Red J Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Clif - Peanut Butter. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
Sohan Posted April 19, 2006 Author Posted April 19, 2006 I think if I made my own bar I'd cut the sugar, up the complex carbs and reduce the fat. Most of the bars out there aren't much better than candy. Not that there's anything wrong with that.Respectfully,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." lordtariel Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I like the peanut butter ones, but I eat them as a snack, not for nutrition or energy. There's no place like 127.0.0.1

I've actually tried that and found a few decent recipes. If I could find the time to cook I'd love to make my own. But if you ever know of a favorite site you'd recommend, please send it to me.Respectfully,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." lordtariel Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I wonder if there would be enough intrest in this sort of thing to merit a nutrition and recipies section of the forum? There's no place like 127.0.0.1
Red J Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I don't know, I'm still trying for a kempo section. Maybe the index should read "Health, Training, Fitness and Nutrition." I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.

It probably falls under the "health" category. But I'm for it.Respectfully,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth."
