dtstiachi
Hey yallI was in class tonight and a "reiki" master was supposed to be in the class with us. Well, the only thing he ended up doing was getting the Grandmaster really ticked off at us because he was disrespectful. I was wondering what is "reiki" (not sure of spelling) and how is one a "master" of it? Thanks for the helpful comments "The journey of a 1,000 miles starts with but a single step." Sohan
Here's a pretty decent link to explain. I simply googled it:http://www.reiki.org/FAQ/WhatIsReiki.htmlSorry to hear your dojo had a bad experience. I have heard good things about reiki from my sensei, though I've not tried it.Respectfully,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." Kajukenbopr
reiki- universal energyA japanese healing system of imposing the hands on the person to be healed.in this system, the chakras of the body are attuned(or opened) so the Ki from the Universe can flow into the body and come out through the hand meridians. The practitioner heals without having to use his own energy and can even heal himself.this system cannot be learned on your own, it must be taught and attuned by a reiki master. <> Be humble, train hard, fight dirty

It can also improve your internal martial arts practice. a friend of mine's son practices qi qong and he says it improved his perception of energy and how it flowed through him.I myself havent started practicing, but I'm looking into it <> Be humble, train hard, fight dirty

cathal
Yeah I've been curious about their training so I emailed them to see what options they have in different areas, etc and if they can't travel, do they have information to other instructors. .The best victory is when the opponent surrendersof its own accord before there are any actualhostilities...It is best to win without fighting.- Sun-tzu
Jacob
I have had two Reiki treatments. The first one made me feel very calm and relaxed, but not much more. The practitioner told me about some health problems that he saw which I already knew about, but I told him nothing prior to the treatment. The second one was OK. I know there is something to Reiki, but I can't say more than that at this point.
