Fighter4Life Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 I was wondering everybodys best time for running a mile. I ran the mile in school today and my time was 6min 46sec i was wondering if that was good.? Because Im only 13 and one of the top runners in the school.
BLOWN Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 That's pretty good dude. I'm a big dude but an awesome sprinter, when it comes to long running I suck. The fastest i've run my mile is about 10 minutes. Hopefully throughout my training i can get it down to atleast an 8 minute mile. I run the 40yd dash in 5.4 seconds and im 6'0 and 255lbs. isshinryu5toforever Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 My top 1 mile time is 5:00, top 2 mile time is 10:20.Top 40 4.65 seconds He who knows others is wise. UseoForce Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Me: 5:42 If it works, use it!If not, throw it out!
Whitefeather Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 My top 1 mile time is 5:00, top 2 mile time is 10:20. Top 40 4.65 secondsGreat Scot, that is bloody fast. I do not run the mile, but rather what I fancy to call the "2.4 mile on many hills", and my best time is around 16:15, as pathetic as that is.Wonderful Riddances,Dave "Between genius and insanity, there lies a fine line. Jay Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 About 7.30 but that was on a tredmill so it doesnt count i could probably shave about a minuite of that cos i tend to sprint the last 200m and its more diffuicult to accelerate that quickly on a tredmill. I dunno about 40yrds but i didnt 30m in about 5 sec when i was younger The key to everything is continuity achieved by discipline.
GTF Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 i once did a mile and a half on a tredmill in under 9 minutes but i dont know about 1 mile Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil~Exodus 23:2Violence, even well intentioned, always rebounds upon oneself.~Lao TzuAnd mankind is naught but a single nation~quran
