bushido_man96 Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 It's not really set in America, I think, but I really enjoyed Transporter. Jason Statham is a heck of a martial artist. I liked the first film better than the second, though the reviewers thought otherwise.Respectfully,Sohan what style does Jason study ?Interesting question. I recently did some more research on Statham, and it appears he's had a mixture of training, but in his words, he's "never achieved rank." He's pretty vague on his MA background in interviews, but it seems he has studied TKD. He was an Olympic diver in '92, so that is likely where he gets much of his athleticism.Respectfully,SohanThat's cool of Statham. Imagine that, a martial arts star that won't brag! I like him, too, and can't wait to see Crank. As for my favorites, Best of the Best 1 and 2 are good, 1 being better. The Last Dragon and Only the Strong both have special places in my heart, as well. Enter the Dragon is probably my all time favorite, though. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
ShotokanTre Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Does The American Ninja Count? I liked that one.or....Big Trouble In Little China. But I think my choices are American Ninjutsu and Kung Fu movies, not karate ones. One More Time

baronbvp Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 The Warriors - Nice! I have to agree. The Last Samurai (pseudo-American)Universal SoldierKarate KidRush Hour 1 & 2Predator (I know, no karate, but so cheesy it's great. Two state governors in one SF team!) Only as good as I make myself be, only as bad as I let myself be.Martial arts are like kinetic chess. Your move.
